Users might get exposed to cybersecurity risks, Microsoft urges Windows 7 users to upgrade to Windows 10 !

The other side of Microsoft is now revealed to its users ! Microsoft is now winding up its support on the Windows 7 operating system. The end of support for Windows 7 on PC and Laptop will be only available till 14 January 2020. The nine-year-old operating system won’t be receiving any support, including security updates, leaving users exposed to cybersecurity risks. Microsoft has urged Windows 7 users to upgrade to Windows 10.

 

 

 

Report says this will be done on 14 Jan to boost PC sales in Asia.Businesses having the existing version of Windows 7 operating system will have to either upgrade their licenses to Windows 10 Pro or give the update to Windows 10 Enterprise . If both are not done, they will be needing to buy new PCs altogether to get the Microsoft extended support. Microsoft considers this will give a huge boost to PC business in Asia. As in Asia,  the statistics say 35% of the enterprise PCs are still running on Windows 7, and microsoft wants to convert these users to windows 10 lovers !

 

Nishant Singh, head of technology and telecoms data at GlobalData, said in a press statement, the cost effectiveness of windows 10 over windows 7 was remarkable and that the businesses whose operating system is getting converted will actually love it. “This should reflect a slight bump in PC sales in 2020.: he adds.

 

“By beginning the updates now, our expectation is that you have the opportunity to design and get ready for this change,” Microsoft said in a blog entry.

 

To say a word about windows 7, this was released in October 2009, so it had a 10 +-year life cycle which has come to a close. Windows 10 was released in 2015, and microsoft wants to make all the users uniquely use windows 10.

The Windows 10 operating system has grown into one of the best operating systems from microsoft, years after its release.Many users complained that Windows 8, the previous version of Windows, was confusing and difficult to use, but was world widely used.
